JOHNSON PARK

Public BBQ

Johnson Park in Gordonvale stands as one of North Queensland's premier sporting precincts, seamlessly blending community athletics with family recreation. The well-maintained grass oval hosts everything from Little Athletics on Sundays to school sports carnivals, whilst netball courts and soccer fields cater to organised sport year-round. The fenced playground provides safe entertainment for children, strategically positioned near undercover picnic tables and electric barbecue facilities. Toilets remain accessible during sporting events, though weekend closure policies can frustrate casual visitors. Clean facilities and ample parking make this an excellent choice for family outings, whilst the variety of sporting infrastructure ensures something for every age group. The cricket pitch and tennis courts add versatility, creating a comprehensive recreational hub that serves Gordonvale's sporting community exceptionally well.
